kids who were once denied by destiny, are now given a chance
Finally, the day has come, it's now Saturday, and it's High School Day! Finally, after 3 years, I, we, have been given the chance to finally participate and even perform the intermission number in front of the honorable guests and teachers as the champion of the after-held hip-hop dance competition. It was such an incomparable feeling when we are given the chance to experience High School Day for once in our Junior High School life after 2 years of the pandemic. The High School Day was divided into three(3) parts.
The Thanksgiving mass, to wherein the teachers and students were invited. The start of the program is at 10 a.m. wherein it was started with a doxology by the teachers' choir, followed by the welcome message given by Mrs. Editha Bagcal and a message from Ms. Gemma Tacuycuy. It was then followed by the intermission number of the selected grade 10 students which is the hip-hop dance champion the Maxwellian Syndrome from the Grade 10-Maxwell. And was then followed by the introduction of the guest speaker Mr. Joseph Obrero and the inspirational talk with Atty. Lovely Anne Joy C. Lazo. And the awarding of Plaque Recognition to the Guest Speaker and another intermission number by the teachers' choir. Followed again by the Awarding of Outstanding Teachers, Employees, and Retirees. And the words of gratitude given by Mr. Romel Rabo and played the closing song, Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat. And after that we have given the chance to rest and eat our lunch before continuing to the third and last part of the program which is the field demo that was held at 1 p.m. When the time has finally arrived Mr. Joseph Obrero started the prayer followed by the welcome address of Mr. Reynario Viloria and was then followed by the field demonstration of the calisthenics by the selected 5-10 students per section with the teachers and the sanggalaw dance troupe and the festival dances performed by the selected grade 9 students/sections, and the most requested hip-hop performance of the 3 winners in the after-held hip-hop dance competition. Then there was a traditional games led by the FEC Officers and the booths made by the SSG Officers and lastly the words of gratitude from Mrs. Judeliza Refuerzo.
It was truly such an amazing experience to dance in front of many people, loudly cheering on us, happily supporting us, and seeing them enjoying our show made me give my very all even though my friend told me I was so pale while dancing but who wouldn't look so pale when dancing under the blazing sun at 2 p.m. and it was so hot, but I didn't care about how hot it was when I see them smiling and hear them cheering.
